Design an educational facility, located near Miami, FL that will serve as the orientation and educational space for individuals embarking on a service-learning trip to the Amazon Basin of South America.

Approaching this design involved intensive research in order to recognize the importance of education and the role of service learning. The design reflects the cultural context of the Amazon Rain forest within the facility's public spaces and addresses strategies for future thinking learning initiatives through materials, way-finding, lighting, flexible environments and a strong concept that guided our team through the entire design process.
